Ice Circuit of Flaine : history, specificities and secrets of a unique track

Flaine : ice as a driving playground

At 1,600 meters of altitude, in the heart of the Alps, the Flaine circuit is far more than a winter spot: it is an absolute reference for ice driving in France. For over 36 years, this unique site has drawn drivers, instructors, engineers and enthusiasts seeking a pure, technical and natural environment where grip is never given — it is earned, corner after corner.

A circuit shaped by the climate

The secret of Flaine lies in a rare particularity: the sun barely reaches it.
Protected by the surrounding mountains, the ice stays dense, cold and consistent day after day. The result: a stable surface, perfect for understanding, analysing and mastering the subtleties of car control on ice.

Across more than 25,000 m², the layout evolves with the winter and offers a mix of natural challenges : fast corners, tight hairpins, mild elevation changes… A true open-air driving laboratory, where every meter teaches precision.

36 winters of heritage

Flaine does not try to impress with artifice or theatrics. The site is above all a natural setting, a training ground recognized for over thirty years by drivers and racing schools. Here, the surrounding mountains give the circuit its unique atmosphere. A demanding place, dedicated to those who want to progress on a truly natural surface.

Soon : historic single-seaters on ice

In January and February 2026, our historic Crosslé 90F single-seaters will take to the Flaine circuit. A natural extension of the 60’s spirit — winter sports version — on one of the most demanding terrains in France.

And you? Are you ready to try a historic single-seater on ice?
