During your experience at Classic Racing School, you’ll drive the Crosslé 90F. Reissued in just 13 units and based on the first Formula Ford ever produced by the Crosslé factory in 1969, our single-seaters are entirely handcrafted in the original workshop using period plans to ensure full authenticity. Built in the lineage of the legendary Crosslé 16F, these are true historic racing cars.
At the time, Formula Ford was the essential category for any driver hoping to make it to Formula 1. Legends such as Ayrton Senna, Eddie Irvine, and Jenson Button all got their start there, often behind the wheel of a Crosslé.
Since 2016, the Crosslé 90F has been manufactured in Belfast at the brand’s historic workshop, using the same blueprints, tools, and techniques as before. A few adjustments have been made for added comfort and safety (reinforced chassis, pedal position…), but the spirit remains 100% authentic.

When Mechanics Tell the Story
With just 420 kg and 130 horsepower, the Crosslé 90F delivers an explosive power-to-weight ratio. The result: 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and raw sensations, far from the overly assisted feel of modern cars.
Its 2.0L Ford Zetec engine pushes up to 210 km/h. On Charade’s technical layout, you’ll reach around 180 km/h on the Petit Pont straight. The 4-speed dog box transmission gets you into the rhythm quickly, with sharp sensations from the very first corners.
No electronics, no wings, this is true vintage driving. Dunlop semi-slicks provide period-accurate grip, staying true to the racing spirit of the 1960s.
But the Crosslé 90F is more than just a car, it’s the legacy of a legendary constructor. Founded in 1958 in Northern Ireland, Crosslé made its mark across Europe, winning the Formula Ford title in 1969. Even today, every part of our single-seaters is manufactured at the original factory near Belfast.
